The Faux Sprint is a challenging conditioning exercise when performed in high-enough volume. It is ideal when exercising with limited space.

How To Do It
1. With a straight posture and with your elbows at a 90-degree angle, “sprint” in place, moving your legs as quickly as you can, and lifting your knees as high as you can.
2. Find a point in the distance and stare at it, to stabilize your head.
5. The travel arc of your hands should be from just past your hip pocket to even with your head.
6. Don’t let your hands cross in front of your body – keep them tracking forward.
Online Personal Trainer Tips
1. Your arms swing only from your shoulders. The angle of your elbows should remain the same.
2. Keep your hands relaxed. No tight fists or karate chopping.
3. When you first perform the Faux Sprint properly, it will feel awkward, even robotic. But this is one of the methods with which Olympic-level sprinters are taught proper form. If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for the rest of us.
